"Frankly, you'r enot what you seemed to be. It's disappointing really."
Rei said with a frown. She meant it too. Mystique wsn't meeting her expectations. She had figured the woman was a great artist and everything, but she didn't seem it at all. Reija knew everything well enough, she was just sure that Mystique wouldn't seem like such a rookie on their first visit, which is what Reija thought. The young woman had been tailing Mystique's mark for a week now and he hadn't even realized it, he had flirted with her and everything, but he didn't have a clue!
Mystique thought she was the best at toying with people. She may have been at one point in time, but Rei knew what the other woman was doing. She wasn't going to get anything from Rei, especially if they continued this way. Rei would rather leave her waiting curiously than to give anything and be unsatisfied herself.
"I think not. It'll be a trade. You tell me something and I'll tell you."
IT seemed stupid. Mystique would know that Rei didn't mean it. She would know that Rei wasn't going to tell her anything for the moment. She wasn't stupid. She wanted something, and that was obvious... What did she want, though? Take a guess....
"Oh, that's nowhere near the sum of my knowledge. I suppose I could have visited Erik to tell him this, but I'd hate to waste this time we've been given.... How about we both cut the crap and get serious for the moment."
Rei knew she wanted to set this up, and she waws working towards it. She'd set the bait, now it was time for the fish to bite.

"Im never what I seem. And I couldn't care less about disappointing you.
She said it with a smirk. It was true, Mystique was never what she seemed to be. Never doing what one would expect. Just as now, the girl thought she had Mystique figured out. She was oh, so wrong. This girl thought she knew exactly what Mystique was doing. She would soon find out just how wrong she had been. Mystique was deeper than this girl was giving her credit.
The girls words were enough to make her want to choke on the coffee that she hadn't been drinking. She was being rediculous if she thought Mystique would give away anything or even believe her words in the slightest. True, Mystique had yet to discover the girls main purpose. But the girl had gone through an aweul lot of trouble to tail her here. It was flattering, to an extent.
She simply blew the comment away. Surley the girl was smart enough to figure out she would dignify such a thing with a responce. Itwas to ridiculous a comment. She didn't play games with strangers, alteast one that didn't humor her.
However it was the girls next comment that had changed her mind slightly. 'Erik', the girl was name dropping once again. She took on last look at her former prey. Then, without warning, she spun her chair around to face her company. Her eyes loked onto her through the lenses.
"You want to be serious, FINE. Lets be serious. Tell me why your following me." She paused, lowering hre voice almost as a warning. "And I might not kill you."
At this she began to slowly tap her fingers on the counter, one after the other. It made for a beat. As she impatienty awaited her responce.

"Oh, you'll be biting your tongue soon enough."
Reija was cocky and she knew it was true, hell, if she wanted she could kill Mystique, she had never failed, bu that wasnt' what she wanted. As of that moment, Rei had changed to a business exterior. She wanted to get Mystique to do something and she'd get it done. Hell, Rei had never failed, and she didn't plan to start. Her own body turned towards Mystique, though she wasn't scared in anyway. She was confident and she knew she had the woman's attention. Name dropping could always arrange that. With a smirk, Reija leaned in and stopped Mystique's hand before she allowed a piece of paper to drop onto the counter onto the woman's hand. She had been holding it, yes, it was only a business card. It didn't hold anything, other than a number. It was her mark's number, and down at the bottom there was, written in small scribble, a name. Hexus.
"I'm following you for a business propposition, so you shouldn't thinking about attemting to kill me just yet."
She smirked and leaned against the counter for the moment. Nibble, fishy, nibble.

Business, huh. She wondered what kind of business as she eyed the card that was now in her hand. Its contents containing a number and a name. Hexus. Placing the card back down so it was concealed under her palm, she raised an eyebrow and looked back to the girl.
"An' what is this, a birthday invitation?"
SHe was being sarcastic, obviously. But that didn't mean she wasn't interested. Who was this Hexus? What was their purpose, and why hadn't Mystique heard of them before. They had to have been knew, fresh meat, looking for recruits. If that was so, they must have been serious. Only the most serious of groups came looking for her. She didn't have the most dangerous power, no. But she was great for getting information and she was trained and very experienced. She knew what she was doing, hence her appeal.
"What kind of business are we talking here?" She smirked, her voice teasing. "The best kind of business I hope."

"That is your mark's personal number, and Hexus is something you don't need to know about completely just yet."
Reija crossed her arms and turned her head a bit, showing the straight line of her lips. There was no amusement left. She was all business and she knew for a fact that Mystique would end up being interested and she knew that this was all going to go well enough. If it didn't, Rei never failed. She'd make it happen her way in one way or another.
"Of course it's the best kind of business. The Brotherhood is always interested in help aren't you?"
She was looking to get Mystique's interest. She knew that the Brotherhood was dangerous, and she was looking to use them. She wanted to give them information and help, but for her own personal reasons.

"I'll be the one to decide what I do and don't need to know."
SHe said it firm but not to forcefull as she turned her head in the direction of her mark. Then back to the girl. She was showing off. Mystique could have gotten his number if she had needed it, but that wasn't what she was after. It appeared that the girl hadn't figured that out yet. Mystique had no intention of telling her. If she wanted to think she was ahead, for now, that was alright with Mystique. She was going to let the girl show off.
"The Brotherhood," She tilted her head in contemplation. "Usually.... But it depends on the source of help."
She looked the girl over once more, wondering what exactly she was capable of, how usefull could she really be?
Then she continued to speak a half smirk on her lips, "But as for me personaly, I prefer to work alone."

"No, I think I will considering I'm the one that has the information."
Reija spat back moving forward, closer to Mystique's ear. Personal space wasn't there and Reija didn't care at all. She wetted her bottom lip and smirked a bit.
"Your mark has been doing a bit more than you know of. He's been dealing different things on the side, you're going to want to look into that unless you want loose ends."
Reija moved away with a smirk as she recrossed her legs again and leaned against the countertop smirking confidently. She knew more than Mystique did at this moment, seeing as she had actually been around, and moreso she had ways of getting closer and getting what she wanted. Rei knew he did side deals. There were human gangs and other things that were getting the cure and using them as weapons, as well as a few other things, though no one but Rei knew of this at the moment.
"Well, if you want some help, you'll just have to try and find me won't you?"
Mystique just thought she worked alone. She didn't really. Every great artist had their partner. Mystique had Erik, and others didn't really matter. There was always someone or something to partner a great artist. For Reija, it was the memory of her past and the hope for the future, if that made any sense.
"Can't say I like partners much either, but sometimes you have to give in a bit for a greater cause than your own selfishness."
Reija slipped a twenty onto the countertop and nodded to Mystique's mark with a familiar smile before she gave a small, feigned wave at Mystique. She was hoping the woman would follow, but either way she was leaving her curious and not knowing much more than she had.

"No, I think I will considering I'm the one that has the information."
Mysique simply grined at the comment. Not to many people took the chance to get close to her. For obvious reasons. The fact that this girl did....well, lets just say Mystique was liking her more and more.
"Your mark has been doing a bit more than you know of. He's been dealing different things on the side, you're going to want to look into that unless you want loose ends."
"I certainly will."
She said shifting her eyes to the girl. She was proving herself to be more intreging than previously expected. To say the least, her interest had been struck. Why would this girl go through so much trouble to help Mystique. Could it have been a set up, it was certainly possible.
"Help," She contemplated this before turning completly to look the girl in the eyes. "Why do you wan't to help me anyway?"
She was skepical and enticed at the same time. She knew that there were few people in this world that were truly out to help anyone. So why would some stanger just be giving it out, to Raven Darkholme of all people. There had to be a price, there always was.
"Can't say I like partners much either, but sometimes you have to give in a bit for a greater cause than your own selfishness."
Her words were ones to be debated. What exactly was the greater cause?
She watched the girl, place the money down and simply walk away. How very Mystique like. It facinated her. She just couldn't help but wonder if that had been an invetation. Her eyes were on the seet that the girl had been perched in when she made her exit. Nevertheless, she did turn her attention to the window, just in time to see the girl blow right past it. Mystique was unsure of what to do. A position she seldome found herself in.
She made up her mind, she would follow the girl. Not tail as the girl had done to her. Rather, hope to occumpany her, see what all else she was willing to give away. And if nothing else, arrange another 'meeting.'
She looked to her mark one last time, before letting out a huff and sliding out of her chair. She did not pay any mind to paying for her beverage and she was far to quick to be out the door for anyone to notice.
As she opened the door to the outside, the sun light hit her like a slap in the face. However, that did not stop her from being quick to locate the girl. SHe was faily easy to spot in the crowd. In order to catch up with her, Mystique walked sliently at a quickened pace. Her coat flapping due to the breeze was the only noise that came from her person.
She slowed slightly as she came close. Walking along side her, only inches away.
"What exactly did you mean by greater cause?"
She asked quiet and surprisingly quick. Mystique had taken a chance in following her. She had given away alot. her hope now was that this mysterious girl would do the same....

Reija knew she had drawn Mystique in when she caught the woman exiting the cafe, though sheh ad only seen it through periphial vision. Reija had slipped on her own sunglasses and looped her thumbs through her beltloops as she walked. The sun felt nice and Reija knew she'd end up at the pool sometime before the day died, though she wasn't so sure that this would be their only meeting. Reija knew she had the woman hooked, she knew she could do it! She wasn't a moron, and she was certainly more than capable enough to take care of this situation, even though she hadn't been asked. The sound of shuffling grabbed a hold of Rei's attention fully and she didn't need to look at Mystique to know she was there.
"You asked why you'd want my help... The cure is out, and both of us know things are going to get horrible. The question is, are there going to be seperate groups of mutants going against the government or are we going to be smart about things and work together?"
Reija paused and looked over at Mystique. She was setting everythign up. The Brotherhood couldn't work with Hexus exactly, but they could work around one another, and maybe give a bit of help. Rei knew that well enough.
"Our greater cause is the same. The humans don't deserve to be here. Mutants are superior, and we all know that."
Reija crossed her arms and smirked a bit. Here was where things really came into play. She knew Hexus wouldn't ever work with the Brotherhood. The difference between the two teams were quite large. The Brotherhood was much more tame, but much messier too. Hexus was much more dangerous, and they didn't take time for pawns, considering that they refused to waste time and everything. There were a few mutants that were of interest, but Reija knew that she wasn't going to get anyone else for the team. They were fine as they were, but they did have a few pawns.... as well as partners.... they just didn't always keep up with things of the sort.
"Nymph, call me Nymph, and I certainly hope that you'll be needing that name from time to time."
Rei smirked and nodded towards a cafe/repair shop ahead of them.
"If you want to find me, just peek in there from time to time. You'll eventually find me if you want more information, or we can just continue this now, it's all up to the expert...."
Reija was picking, but she was also quite odd at times. She knew that she had her attention!

"You asked why you'd want my help... The cure is out, and both of us know things are going to get horrible. The question is, are there going to be seperate groups of mutants going against the government or are we going to be smart about things and work together?"
Mystique was skeptical, such an offre was not one that the Brotherhood got everyday, and it certaily wasn't an offer she was just goining to buy right off the bat. However, she did not intende to shut the girl down imediatly. After all, she did follow her out of the cafe.
"What did you have in mind?"
She said slow and fairly monotonous.
"Our greater cause is the same. The humans don't deserve to be here. Mutants are superior, and we all know that."
Mystique laughed lightly to herself, she couldn't have agreeded more. But this was an obvious pitch, definatly unoriginal. The girl was playing something, hinting, she had still to give a strait answer..... She was playing by Mystique's rules, and she played well. But it was Mystique's game and she was famous for curve balls.
"Yes, I do know." She said rather firm, pausing to looked to her. "So tell me something I don't know, like your nameor more of this Hexus.
All Mystique had at the moment was their name, if indeed that was their true name. But was enough for her to find out what she needed to know. One way or another.
"Nymph, call me Nymph, and I certainly hope that you'll be needing that name from time to time."
Mystique slowed, jutting out her hand and placing it abruptly on the girls forearm. keeping it there only long enough so the girl would look to her. Once that was accomplished, she removed and tilted her head, causing her glasses to slide down only tad.
"Is that short for something hunny?"
She held a rather amused look on her face. Mystique wasn't always one to stray from task, but she just couldn't help but ask. It was just such an interesting choice for a name. Nymph.
After laughing slightly she changed her gaze to the shop. It looked plain, borring....perfect. Her eyes shifted back to the girl and she huffed slightly. Mystique had left her mark to follow this girl, she was going to get more from this girl. Once she had what she wanted she would leave. It had yet to be ecided on if she would go to quaint, little place. She looked to the air infront of her, inhailing deeply, she spoke with a playful twinge.
"Well, we wouldn't want to be waisting your time." She paused but not long enough for the girl to speak. "But since I walked all the way over here," Her head turned lazily to face her. "We should contiue this now, Nymph."

"I've got special priveledges when it comes to computers and whatnot. I've got intel that's useful. A partnership between you and I, thus connecting the Brotherhood and Hexus, would ensure that the brotherhood gets details that you wouldn't get otherwise."
She wasn't going into detail. This wasn't Mystique's game at the moment, it was Rei's and she wasn't near her point yet. She knew more than well that she could get more intel than anyone else both because she was called in for repairs at times, she worked with the newspaper, and because the brotherhood was more sloppy. PEople knew about the brotherhood. There was no information at all on Hexus. Though, Mystique probably thought the opposite. She'd be disappointed. Reija knew as much and she smirked a bit. She wanted to know and couldn't hide it.
"Hexus is an orginization that few know about, you should feel priviledged. We run with secrecy, there's no information on it. Meaning that we get away with more and that we can get intel quickly."
That was all that was going to be said, though there was so much more. Hell, if Rei wanted to she could spill everything, but she wasn't dumb. Being stopped by a hand on her forearm, Rei quirked a brow, though it wasn't in question or curiosity. She was giving Mystique attention. That was about it. Nymph was one of the many codenames that Rei had been given over time. She grinned deviously and shook her head.
"If I were, it still wouldn't be something you need to know, but since we're both running from faith and trying to gain a common sort of ground.... Nymphadora."
It was an alias that Rei had gone by. She had several of them, though then again Rei hadn't ever been caught and no one knew anything about her, unlike Mystique. The shop that Rei had pointed to was a computer cafe, but mutants from Hexus ran that one. Rei knew they would be able to handle it if it came to that, but then again it was perfect for meetings and whatnot. Quaint and simple. Reija smirked widly when Mystique said they should finish. She knew she had the woman hooked.
"So glad you agree."
From here it would be both of them compromising to an extent... Mystique had gotten more, but that hadn't even scratched the surface....

It was a reasonable plan. There was information floating out there that could prove usefull. The more information the better. But Mystique had yet to see the benefit for Hexus. Why would they give out information freely, they wouldn't. Not without something in return. That was what interested her. What was this Nymph after?
"I still don't see how this benefits Hexus. What do you want in return."
There had to have been something. And this Nymph talked an aweful lot about information. So that couldn't have been it. She also said that few knew of them, it was possible that the wanted their name out there. If so, that was a stupid move, it is always better to work in secret. The Brotherhood was once a secret, but not so much anymore. Anyone with the slightests connection knew of how dangerous they were. Which meant they knew of Mystique. So was valuable, so it was no surprise that Nymph would come to her.
"In not sure privledged is the word, but i am interested. I'll admit that."
She was interested in many thinsg other than that, like her name. SHe calaimed it to be Nymph, sort for Nymphadora. A code name obviously. Mystique smirked back to ther girl. she had been thinking of another name, a far more amusing name.
"Not exactly what I thought you meant...." She held her smirk, but turned her head to face forward.
They were getting somewhere, slowly, but somewhere slow was better than nowhere fast.
Of cousrse Mystique would agree to go with her, for now. She still had things that she wanted to know. Although she had a hunch this girl had something up her sleeve. Mystique didn't have a thing up her sleeve. Every one who knew kher new she kept her weapons belt on her thigh...

"IT benefits Hexus more than I care to tell you. It's a situation where we scratch your back and you scratch ours. We want to remain in secret, but we want to make sure that the things happen the way we all want. We can remain in secret and back the brotherhood with intel and some mutants that are expendable, it accomplishes our goal and allows us to continue working for other things as well."
IT was logical, yes, but not the whole truth. She knew Mystique was interested, not to mention that Hexus had more than enough money to throw around. It was a way of bribing and getting the Brotherhood to do the dirty work really. Hexus could remain secret, which meant they had more control and secrecy, but they were also doing much more than Rei let on. She knew she couldn't and wouln't go there,t hough.
"AT least you recognize certain things. Hexus is secret, we can handle undercover operations and gathering intel far better than anyone other than you. It allows for us to continue on without suspicion on any of the members, and we have the finances to help the brotherhood. It benefits us because we doing have to get out into the open and ruin our cover."
Bullshit, but it was quite believable. It was ture, but really nothing more than Rei's bullshit. Smirking, Reija began to walk on, knowing Msytique was following. She knew more than well that Msytique had been thinking dirty thoughts, most did.
"Let me guess, you were thinking Nymphomaniac or something?"
Rei asked with a smirk as she rolled her eyes, though it wasn't viewable by Mystique. The woman couldn't see through her sunglasses. Things would get worked out. It was an offer that only an idiot would refuse, and Mystique and the brotherhood, despite their problems, were not idiots...

She listened to what this stranger had to say, she let it sink in to her head. It was a promising idea. A scheme that could prove beneficial for both sides. A proposition that only a fool would turn down. This girl had played her hand just right. She made everything sound just peachy and squeaky clean. But she forgot one thing. She had forgotten just who she was dealing with… or had she? Mystique didn’t want to underestimate this girl. People had underestimated Raven Darkholme once, most were dead now.
“Sounds like you’ve got it all figured out.” Mystique cleared her throat and raised an eyebrow. “So what do you want us to do? I can't exactly scratch your back until you give me claws, now can I.”
There was no real point in asking any other questions if the girl was just going to talk in circles. At least not just yet. Perhaps it was better that way. To keep things on a need to know basis. And at that moment she needed to know what kind of plan this girl had in the making, what exactly did she want Mystique to do for her, for Hexus? After all, that had been the purpose of this little meeting, or should she say stalking, right?
Her eyes watched the girl, doing a quick scan of her body. “Well, could you blame me?” She asked with a smirk.
She was partially kidding. After all, she was the one that walked around naked. Then again, she did technicaly have an excuse. Her powers gave her that lovely benefit, or obligation. It depended on how one looked at it. Although most didn't realize it, but she had openly admitted that she never wore clothing. With the acception of her leather coat and weapons belt.
Mystique was surprisingly comfortable with this little session. More so than most would have been. Then again, it wouldn’t have been the first time she had rubbed elbows with the enemy. She had danced, so to speak, with the competition more so than most had. She was good at what she did, and she had connections with more than just the Brotherhood. Connections that would prove usefull, connections that made her dangerous, connections with both people in high and very low places.

It was indeed beneficial. Reija knew more than well enough. That was how it would stay. Rei wasn't exactly shy and she did have a rather large ego. She knew more than well enough that she was on the winning side of this deal at the moment. Rei was already being underestimated. Hexus and many others didn't give her enough credit. That little show in the cafe had been a very small show. Reija was much more powerful than anyone knew. She did it purposefully... She hadn't even left things out without thinking. She knew Mystique better than the other woman knew. She knew much more, and she wasn't underestimating anyone.
"Ah, and that's where you're wrong. You've got the claws already, I've just got to point you in the direction.,"
Reija smirked as she crossed her arms and smirked. She just had to point the Brotherhood in the right direction. Though, her own team didn't know anything about it yet...
"The cure labs are going up quickly and I know for a fact that they're going to use my facilities to get the parts for their technology. I can give you the tools you need to find ways to shut them down and get things rolling for boh of our groups. The cure bodes badly, and we both know that members of your group are top on the list of those that need hacked down by the cure... If they get past the Brotherhood, they'll start looking into things that are more secretive, which means they'll smarten up and they m ight figure out about other mutant groups. We can't have that... "
It would take another meeting for everything to work out. Rei knew that. She had to be able to get the technology information, but she also needed to get a few other things done. She knew well enough that Mystique could handle it. She didn't know whether or not the woman would bite the bait set out, but she did have that ego, so she figured it was a done deal, seeing that Mystique was still there, and hadn't tried to kill poor Rei yet...
"I suppose not, but if you don't keep your eyes to yourself, you might not get along so well. Wouldn't want to be blindsided, would we?"
Rei said, being sure to bump Mystique a bit surprisingly. It was smooth, and Rei knew that. She had hipchecked the other woman. Rei could be completely surprising and she knew that. She also knew that she did have a great body, and she used it often enough. She didn't walk around naked, nor did she flaunt too much, but it was easy to see her sexuality. She was more than subtle. Having herself covered didn't mean that she wasn't great looking. Reija had connects still, she had much more than anyone knew.
