The last reported location was a small café just off one of the main historic streets of the city. John had no problem finding the place as it stuck out quite clearly amidst the highly updated buildings. A small café that looked as if it had been frozen in time back in the 50’s era. Red coverings hung over the windows of the small café as he made his way inside. The bell above the door twinkled letting those inside working know that they had a guest.
The clientele inside the small café varied making John fit in quite well. He made his way over to a small table ignoring the few glances that he drew towards him for whatever reason. Reaching a booth at the end of a row, he slipped off his leather jacket and set it on the booth seat as he slipped onto it and took a seat glancing around.
His dark eyes focused in on the man that matched the photograph he’d been given earlier that morning along with the address he was at now. Along with the photograph and the address was a short list of the things the man in question did on a regular basis. One was getting a slice of pie and coffee at this time daily. And judging by his rather rotund shape, John was certain he had never missed a piece of pie in quite some time. The man was tall and slightly overweight. He wore the makings of a business suit, the jacket portion absent revealing his dress shirt as being short sleeved. Gray hair collected at his temples giving him the appearance of being older than he was by a few years.
“What can I get you honey?” John’s gaze broke as he looked up to find a woman watching him, chewing a piece of gum rather hard. She raised an eyebrow at him as he looked up at her silently. “Food? Drink? A voice?”
He cleared his throat and took one of the menus off the table looking it over, disgusted by how sticky it felt under his fingertips.
”Coffee,” he said flipping it over to the back. “And toast.” He glanced up at her and gave her a quick nod as she eyed him suspiciously once before going to a window and calling his order into the chef in the back. She returned momentarily with a chipped coffee mug and a pot of steaming coffee. He reached across the table taking some sugar and some cream, mixing it in as she walked on by moving on to others. Sipping his coffee, he watched his target through the small streams of steam leaping from the mug in his hands.
And he simply watched.

Aurora had been walking through town by herself just being bored, wondering if she should find some trouble to get into, or maybe make some of her own when she had spotted a very familliar figure walking into a cafe across the street. She smirked to herself as she walked over, deciding to crash his party of one, mainly because she was bored.
She pulled open the door and stepped in, shaking her raven hair, down for once, and letting her icy blue eyes adjust to the slightly dimmer lighting. She shifted on her feet until she spotted John. Just then, the waitress spoke, "Can I help you honey?"
"Uh, no...I'm with him," she said jerking her head toward John. The waitress raised her brows and went to get another doffee mug, even though Aurora hadn't asked her to get one. She smirked and made her way over to John's table, sliding into the booth opposite him.
"Hey there, stranger."

It wasn't until a shadow passed in front of him that John's gaze broke from his taget. He looked surprised to see her though he said little about it. He had to admit that he hadn't been expecting company when he'd followed the man into the cafe to watch. He took a sip of his coffee watching as she took a seat across from him and made herself comfortable.
"Hey there, stranger."
He was silent again for a few moments looking directly at her before he looked away and down at his coffee. "Just happened to be in the neighborhood?" he asked bringing the chipped coffee mug to his lips again. He paused the mug just shy of his mouth and watched her over it, his gaze looking beyond her for a moment at the man and then back to her again.

"Just happened to be in the neighborhood?"
"Basically, yeah. I was shopping and I saw ya come in, so I figured I'd come see what you were up to. I was thinking about getting into trouble when I spotted you, so I figured I'd come talk to trouble itself and save the trouble of making my own."
She smirked as the waitress poured her cup of unordered coffee, and she picked it up, taking a sip. She drank her coffee black, out of habit. She noticed him watchign her over the rim of his cup and quirked an eyebrow.
"What?"

He smirked at her words finally bringing the mug the rest of the way to his mouth for a drink. "So you have labelled me as trouble?" he asked setting the mug down on a napkin the waitress had set down on the table. He looked over at the same woman as she lingered nearby watching the pair of them. She gave him a small smile before coming over to fill Aurora's mug. John shifted in the booth and cleared his throat watching as the waitress walked away.
"What?"
He shrugged. "What?" he asked back.
"Paranoid much?" he asked smirking.

(Since Im back and the rp is still in the same place Im gonna join! I like this one beacuse I already know what's gonna happen!)
Some people didn’t understand how hard it was to have no control. No control over what you did, how you acted, having no control over the fact that you were addicted and you couldn’t change it….
Camine Groomes was addicted. She was addicted to many things, both legal and illegal, both moral and immoral. She had no control over the fact she needed certain things, not anymore. She was too deep, to far gone, too lazy to try and quit. She just didn’t care. Sure, the things she did would shorten her life span, but it wasn’t like she wanted to live to be an old lady or anything. She was cool with being ed off young, it wasn’t something she feared.
CG stood in an alley some where in the business district of the city. She was having a little conversation with a slightly dirty looking man. After a bit they did a little hand shake thing. She gave him money, he gave her a little bad of white powder. However, just as this happened a cop car rolled by. They were always looking for dealers in this district, but CG had it covered. She quickly grabbed a hold of the mans shoulder and they both turned invisible. You see, CG had the power to control all the elements, and light was one of them. She could control the light to make herself and anyone she touches invisible. So as the car rolled by they were flashed out of sight. When it was clear she let go of the man, who looked shocked and scared and ran away. CG just shrugged a little, she knew very well that humans were scared of mutants, and as well they should be. Mutants were the te species, humans were weak and should be scared.
Camine figured she should head back to the mansion, they were kind of trying to keep a low profile for a while. Hexus didn’t want their plan found out just yet, in fact they didn’t want anyone to really know they were around. All the other mutants knew that Hexus was around, but if they saw one of its members on the street you’d never know they were a part of the organization. They was how they liked it, it was better to be unseen. However, it was hard not to see CG. She was beautiful, no gorgeous. Blond hair, blue eyes, perfect skin, hot body, tattoos, piercing, the works. She sure was a looker. Sometimes being this attractive and lively was a damper on her work, but she got by. You see, Camine didn’t get paid to be in Hexus, so she had to get money somewhere else. She was a thief, and a very good one at that. Sometimes being this attractive got her noticed, but sometimes it also helped.
As she walked along the sidewalk she just happened to glance over into a small diner. A soft smile came to her face as her eyes landed on a face she hadn’t seen in a very long time. It had been a year, maybe two since she left John. She remembered him so well, like the time they had was just yesterday. She remembering finding a scared little boy alone on the streets, and realizing what great potential he had. Camine took him in, taught him how to handle the fire because she herself was experienced in the trait. She remember seeing him as a son, or as a kid brother, someone she really trusted, which was rare for her. She had never really told him that she trusted him, she was just sure he knew. You see, only two people in the world were allowed to call her Cam or Cami, and John was one of them. Her parents used to call her that, and she couldn’t stand to hear if from others. She put all her trust into her family and they just hurt her. She put all her trust into John, and he knew better then to hurt her. She loved him, but she’d deal with him if necessary. Cam saw it as, she made him what he was, she could break him just as easily.
She slid into the diner, blowing out a puff of smoke from her cigarette. She glanced around for a moment then walked over to his table. She jumped over the back of the seat, sitting herself down beside him and just looking over at him with a big grin.
“Hey hunny.”
She said with a little laugh and leaned back. She knew they hadn’t seen each other in forever, but she’d act like it was just yesterday. She glanced around, looking at Aurora for a second, then the man she knew John was watching, then to the waitress as she passed by the table. She had a tray in her hand and stopped looking down at Cam.
“You cant smoke here.” The waitress said with a slight attitude.
Cam just shrugged and reached over dropping her cigarette into a cup of orange juice that sat on her tray. She grinned brightly and looked back at Aurora.
“Aren’t you gonna introduce me to your friend kiddo?”
She asked looking back at John. The waitress looked very mad as she turned and went back to get another cup of orange juice. Cam was just rude like that sometimes, get over it. She liked calling John kiddo, she knew he didn’t like it very much, but she did and that was all that mattered.

Two years is a long time to someone who's life is just beginning. John never mentioned the time on the streets in New York to many. Not even who he considered to be those rare few he trusted with such information. Camine had been there through most of it and had one day simply disappeared. At that point he'd been more than capable of surviving on his own. At twelve that had been a different story. Charles Xavier had shown up not long later to find John one day in a small coffee shop much like this one. He was at the register counting the spare change he'd picked up out for the waitress to buy a donut. A hand had reached around behind him holding a green ten dollar bill to pay for whatever he had wanted. As long as they could talk of course. The rest had been history.
John had gone to Xavier's. John had left Xavier's. He'd joined up with the Brotherhood and his journey through life had brought him to this point. Sitting in a small cafe watching a man. It had brought Aurora to join him and now it had brought Camine back into his life.
He was surprised to say the least as he looked at her sitting beside him as if a day hadn't gone by.
“Hey hunny.”
“Aren’t you gonna introduce me to your friend kiddo?”
If it wasn't obvious that he was caught off guard than the man he was watching wasn't fat. His surprised gaze shifted away from her and looked to Aurora. He despised introductions.
"What are you doing here?" he asked looking back at her skipping over the introductions.
"And better yet," he said shifting a short ways away, "how'd you find me?"

She just grinned and shook her head. She knew he'd be shocked, she was a bit too, but you'd never know. She knew very well that she'd see him again, see him doing great things. She had been hearing all the fire reports on the news, and she knew it was him every time. He had a style about him she recognized, because it was the same as hers. She was really proud of him, he was making a name for himself. She felt a bit bad now that she knew he was around, She knew that more likely then not she would end up fighting against him, and she also knew that she could take him, but didnt want to. She could promise him this though, if it came down to it she'd be the one to take his life, nobody else.
"Oh, just passing through."
She nodded and smiled softly. It was easy to tell that she was lying, she made it that way. She wanted him to know that she was here for a reason, but one she wasnt going to speak of. She wouldnt tell him of their plan, not until the time was right. She knew he'd understand. John just got her, he always had. She grinned a bit more, reaching over and pinching his cheek.
"Aww, how could I miss this sweet little face."
She spoke in a baby voice and let out a little laugh. Cam loved picking on John like that, talking to him in a baby voice, calling him kid or kiddo, it was just how she was around him.
"No but really," she said crossing her arms, "Ive been seeing a lot of fire reports for this city, sort of figured it was you."
She nodded and smiled softly as the waitress came over to ask if she wanted anything, Cam just waved her off and looked back at John.
