"Erik Lehnsherr."
She repeated in a slow monotones voice, that was not her own. She entered, the doors hissing as they opened. Once on the other side, she paused to type in a four digit access code, that again, was not her own. The doors re-shut with a quiet thud. Turning on a heel, her slender fingers fell away from the key pad.
Silently, she made her way down the empty corridor. There wasn't a soul in sight, save the cameras mounted on the wall. Flipping her hair she sparred it a smirk. The halls in this part of the mansion were long. Often leading to other restricted areas. Mystique had access to them all...
There were no windows, only overhead lights to illuminate the passageways. As she made her way down the long hall, she glanced at the closed doors. Lights crept from the cracks of some, others not. However, it wasn't that which caught her attention. One door remained open, the rooms only light seeping from that of a computer screen.
She stopped in front of the door, knowing exactly who inhabited the room. The lights that filled the hall cast a shadow over her feminine figure. She propped one hand against the door frame and the other on her hip. She simply stood there a moment, watching him. Watching how he hunched over the computer, how strands of his grey hair fell unto his eyes. He worked so hard, sometimes to hard.
“Hello Erik.”
She said in a seemingly innocent voice. But Erik knew otherwise. It was unlikely that he could see her face through the shadows, but her sassy stance and model-like walk made it ever so obvious.
