Dreamer sat in the middle of the park wearing her usual hand me down ripped and faded 70's bell bottoms and a light blue tang top with a butterfly on it. Nothing fancy, Dreamer didn't do fancy, she left that to the man. She sat on an old patched and frayed picnic blanket with a basket of food holding down one end of the blanket and three rocks holding down the others. She put on a fuzzy blue top hat and light gray sun glasses over her eyes her long dark brown hair streaming over her shoulders.
She was in one word, free. Dreamer had always been a free spirit since the days on the Farm in California. She wore what she felt like it let her hair fall where it may on some days and styled it less often than most. Today for shoes for example she wore her yellow Pokemon slippers. She stood out like a sore thumb but she didnt care. The universe had a way of balancing itself out, she was sure somewhere some girl was obsessing over what to wear just that second. Good. She needed some good Karma at the moment.
She laid back on the picnic blanket smiling up at the clouds above, she'd do anything to just touch one, knowing that was nearly impossible she waved it away, but made a mental note to ask any at Hexus if they could fly her up to the clouds.
Dreamer had been wandering the continents since she was 19. Searching long and hard for her selestial sister, her universal brother, in other words her soul mate. Dreamer was one to believe in love yes, but she wasnt one to think it just walked up to you and carried you off into the sunset, you had to go find it. She had found her selestial sisters and universal brothers on many occations, but knowing that love hardly ever stayed in one vessel she moved on to find her true soul mate. She was good at that, at opening her mind to new ideas like love being a free spirit. And like love, she couldnt be tamed, she didnt belong to one person or place, she was like smoke in a breeze, you cant catch it, you cant hold it, you can only watch it as it floats by.
She starred back as a bird flew past, she laid her fuzzy light blue hat over her eyes. She heard footsteps near her and someone lifted the hat off her face. Her grayblue eyes starred up at a familiar face.
"Hey there..." she said airily still lying down and watching the said person stare down at her. "Pretty day isnt it? Very nice for-"
SMACK a soccer ball hit her right in the face from a group of boys who played nearby. Dreamer's fists clenched and unclenched, but she remembered her Karma, this must be getting back at her for something she did earlier. She sat up and tossed the soccer ball at the boys smiling aloofly. She saw the said person shoot her a look as though saying 'go crack some heads open, do SOMETHING.'
Dreamer shook her head chuckling and taking off her slippers and letting her bare feet rest in the grass. "Wonderful day for a picnic isnt it? Mind if you join me or are you too macho for me?"
She smirked catching eyes with the person and grinning pleased knowing the real definition of the word made it all the more sweet.
Dreamer was never one to pick sides, she joined Hexus for one reason and one reason only, Blink had told her to keep a watch over her little brother, apparently Jason was going to need some help. And if anything, she could erase all their memories and make them all forget they were mutants and have them lead everyday lives. But she wouldnt do such a thing right now, her Karma was out of line, and she knew damn straight that her chakras were out of line. She could wait another day maybe and then plan her move, if they annoyed her that is. But no one could really tell whose side she was really on, truthfully Dreamer didnt have a side. Having a side would mean she was in league, bound to someone or cause. If there was anything that Dreamer hated, which was a funny thing because Dreamer doesnt hate, she hated being bound to one thing. She loved being a drifter, a free spirit.
She starred up at the person as she took out a box of Oreos and hot dogs. "Vuala! A meal fit for a king!"
