The day was bright and the colors that the sun created upon the ground and everything were just amazing. There were bright hues of gold and yellow along with the pink and blue shades along with the rays of the coming morning. This day could be many things and it was all what one would make of it. Kitty knew what the day was and the thought made her smile. She had Jewish family, yes, but she didn’t really keep up with much of it at all. She found that she didn’t want to. Anyway, the morning rays of light were slowly creeping up from the horizon as the sun slowly rose into its zenith to spread it’s light. Everything was washed in the glow and Kitty felt that warmth upon her face. The rays danced across her face. Her nose twitched slightly before her eyelids lifted and she blinked a few times before her eyes adjusted to the light.
It was morning, and normally Kitty wouldn’t get up as easily as she just had, but she had no class and she just couldn’t help it. She had some habits that would always die-hard. It just so happened that, for Kitty, getting up early on Easter was one of them. She wasn’t always the type to dress up for Easter, but she always did an egg hunt and she was going to attempt to do that now too! She hadn’t really been at the school the last few times that Easter had rolled around, but now she was. She wasn’t at home with her family and she wasn’t really that sad about it. As she grew older she would rather not be around her parents arguing. The two people should have never been together and they only stayed that way because of Kitty and she knew many things tore them up inside. She was still childlike in several ways, but she wasn’t, by any means, stupid. She knew what was going on and she wasn’t going to forget easily. She couldn’t. The girl just couldn’t do that.
Rolling out of her bed, Kitty stretched in a very catlike manner before she yawned and rummaged through her drawers with thoughts of showering and getting dressed for the day before going down to find something to eat. That sounded like a great plan to her! She dug through her drawers quickly and found what she wanted from there before she opened up her closet and grabbed a few things. That would do for the day! Hey, picking out clothes was easy for Kitty. She didn’t really care, but she could still look rather put together if she wanted to. She was much more keen on being comfortable, though. Her footfalls were silent, seeing as she was barefoot, though she didn’t really need to worry about disturbing anyone. She was fairly quiet most of the time!
Once she had put her things down and turned on the water, Kitty hopped in the shower feeling the heated water drip down her body. This felt so nice and she was extremely tempted to just stay there for a few hours, but she knew she wasn’t going to. She just washed her hair and did everything, though she hummed practically the whole time, and then got out before sliding on the things she had picked out. Instead of some usual jeans, Kitty had opted for a rather flowery, khaki skirt along with a long sleeved shirt brown shirt. They were both simple, but comfortable and everything. She was happy with her choice and she continued to brush her teeth and then move onto her hair. Normally she’d leave it down, but she decided to pull it back into some sloppy pigtails. She was feeling like that today! Deciding that she looked okay and not really caring otherwise, Kitty exited the bathroom and then found she wandering out into the hall, still barefooted mind you, and towards the stairs to get to the kitchen. Yeah, she could phase, but she didn’t want to. Her footfalls made no noise and she easily descended the stairs before making her way into the kitchen. Though, she didn’t realize that another might be up.
Kitty had made her way to the kitchen and had fixed a bowl of raisin bran and had stuck some eggs on the stove to boil. She was currently sitting atop the island watching her eggs with an attention that seemed almost scary as she randomly lifted the spoon to her mouth to take bites of her yummy cereal. She looked rather humorous moving her legs back and forth as she watched the eggs boil. She did look cute too, though, Kitty began to hum a bit. She hummed and then took a bite before turning her eyes back to the stove, which was what she was doing, though she had just finished said cereal.
Kitty placed her bowl on the island before she eased her way off of the island and landed upon the ground with a certain difficulty before she took her bowl and spoon and washed them. She then turned off the boiling eggs before draining the water and placing the eggs all on top of a towel she had set out. She had done this all while humming, though after she finished putting the eggs out she looked around. Singing wasn’t something she really did often, but she was in a rare mood and she felt like singing, but not in front of anyone! She began to wash out the pot she used to boil the eggs as she sang. The lyrics were familiar. She had never paid for lessons to fine tune it, but she sounded nice the way she was singing at that moment. The lyrics were familiar.
“Take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I don’t know who you are
but I... I'm with you
I'm with you
Take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I don’t know who you are
but I... I'm with you
I'm with you
I'm with you...”
She had finished her pot and then moved around to the eggs before she looked around. She had spotted the supplies she needed in the large buffet, but she couldn't reach them and that was what stopped her singing.
(Random Easter post! HEHE! It came from something I wrote for something else. *smiles* It's just random....something I already had...heh.)
