Pietro Maximoff was a womanizer if there ever was one. He was the hot shit, and most girls realized that as well as him. There were few girls that didn't want him, and when Pietro found those girls he quickly changed their minds, it wasn't that hard to do either way! Mysteriousness always got the ladies interested, not to mention power, and several other things. Pietro did his best, and he hadn't failed as of yet. The man had a girl when he wanted one! That was how he was! IT didn't change often.

A night out on the town, ah, that was more than just a little fun. When Pietro went out he knew he'd have a blast. He always went out with the same purpose, though sometimes he had more fun than others. Sometimes he went out to drink, and everytime he went out to find his girl for the night, or hour, whichever he decided. He never made up his mind until the last minute when it came to women, not a good quality for a leader or anything, but good for picking the best women most of the time, really. He would make a fair leader, he had things his sister didn't, but he also had more hindrances. They'd even out, with time...

The night had been full of some heavy drinking, on everyone elses' part. The drinks had gone around, but Pietro hadn't felt like getting shitfaced tonight. He wanted to find a girl, though, that was common for the young man. He was always with different women, and it wasn't surprsing that he had several flanking him within an hour of his arrival at the club. All he had to do was pick one. Many women found it attractive that he was lean and he had a great body, but they all found it sexy and mysterious that his hair was silver, and he wore all black that night. He just caught their attention, along with him being suave and debonair! IT wasn't a wonder that he had to pick carefully. All of the ladies wanted him!

He was out late, but that was something that he did all the time, and he had picked a girl to have some fun with him, though she wouldn't be there that long. Her long legs were tempting under a mini-skirt and she had just the right amount of skin showing with her tanktop on too. This blonde girl was easy to an extent, but she had turned everyone else down. She had been a conquest, and Pietro loved conquests. They had even made their way back to her place. It was almost too easy from there. Ah, how the mighty fall.

It was hours later before Pietro actually pulled up in front of his residence. His black mustang glinting in the night lights. He envied no one, he was envious of nothing. His life was seemingly perfect most of the time. Hell, he had so much freedom and he already had so much going for him. There was so much behind him, but then again there was still so much piled onto and expected of him. He wasn't sure if he could handle it, but he'd try!

Hazy, dark eyes caught sight of something. There was someone still up. Didn't really surprise him that much. Many people were insomniacs. Pietro didn't think a second thought as he pressed the button to automatically lock his doors and then raced into the house, not visible to the naked eye, as he headed straight towards his room. He wasn't one to stay in regular clothes all of the time. Nope! Pietro stepped into the shower quickly, getting everything done and washing the remains of any earlier activity off of him before he slid into a pair of silver and white stripped boxers and a black wifebeater before he rubbed his eyes sleepily and ran a hand through his wet hair while heading down to the kitchen. He wasn't really tired, only bored now. He knew the tv was on because it was casting and eerie glow on everything.

Grabbing a soda, Pietro made his way back into the living room and plopped down on the couch as he took a large gulp of his soda.

"It's late..."

“Thanks mom….”

She said in a sarcastic tone, keeping her eyes locked on the tv. She was watching one of those silent movies she liked so much. Most people in the house didn’t understand why she liked them, but she did and that was all that mattered. After a moment she glanced at Pietro, taking the soda from his hand and drinking some of it. She looked back at the tv once more.

“You have any fun?”

He would know she meant about which ever chick he had chosen for the night. She always asked, because she found it utterly hilarious that a guy who thought so highly of himself messed with such trampy, lowlife women.

Wanda and Pietro were very different, but very similar at the same time. Wanda was the smart one, always had been. She was also the powerful one, no question about that. However, both were pretty good partiers, though Wanda was much more level headed when it came to drinking and hooking up. Pietro ran wild, while Wanda had a good time, but still kept a bit of control. They were also alike when it came to women, they really liked them. Yes, Wanda liked women, it wasn’t a secret or anything. She had been known to have a few guys following her around like sick puppies, but she’d rather have a chick. This made Pietro a bit uncomfortable, she knew it, she loved it. It would be different if it was some other chick in the Brotherhood with another woman, but not his sister, it was just weird. And she knew he especially didn’t like the guys she tended to bring around from time to time, but she didn’t care, he couldn’t do anything to her, or them.

The other thing that had in common was that they both thought they would someday take over the Brotherhood, but only one was right. And of course it was Wanda. She was the powerful one, the one with all the qualities of a leader, everyone just thought that since he was older, only by a few minutes, he would take over, but it didn’t work like that. However, Wanda never spoke on the subject. She wanted everyone to think that Pietro would take over, because she wanted to see the shock in his, and everyone else’s faces when it was she who stepped up to the plate, and if her brother challenged her she’d just stick him back in his place. She knew that he knew she could take him, if it came down to a fight she could render his powers useless, and make him such pain that no other had ever felt before, then rip him into pieces… without breaking a sweat. And she was daddy’s favorite, so there!

Call it sibling rivalry if you want, but it really wasn’t. No matter what she said or how she acted, her brother was really the most important person in her life. He had been there from the start, and she wouldn’t be here without him. It all started like this.

Pietro and Wanda’s parents, Erik and Magda, met right after the Holocaust. Her mother was a gypsy woman who was in one of the camps with her father. They fell in love, and had Wanda’s sister, Anya. However, when Anya was about two angry villagers chased her family from their home, setting it on fire, and Anya was trapped inside. Magda and Erik got away, but Erik broke off in a rage destroying the village, letting his wife see his mutant powers for the first time. Magda was so terrified of what she watched Erik do that she fled from him, and neither knew she was pregnant with twins, Wanda and Pietro. Magda ran off to a small village in Russia, where she had her children, but fled them right after their birth. She was terrified that if they stuck together that Erik would find them, so in an attempt to save her children, who Erik didn’t know about, she fled. However, she ended up hiding out in a forest in the middle of winter, and froze.

A Russian family, with the name Maximoff, took in Wanda and Pietro as their own. When the twins were about eight was when Wanda’s powers started to manifest. It was a very early age, but she was so powerful that her body couldn’t hold them in. On accident, she ended up hexing and destroying several surrounding homes with a large hex bolt. Their foster parents were terrified, and the villagers mobbed against them. Wanda was completely drained from her unexpected blast, and Pietro had to carry her to safety. The two were on the run for the next two years, when Pietro’s powers sparked. After a while they ended up in the US, where they found Charles Xavier. They ended up staying at his school for a few months, before he realized who they were. They were Magneto’s only children, and about this time Magneto knew too. He ‘rescued’ his children from the institute, and they had been with the Brotherhood ever since.

It wasn’t rivalry, it was caring. She cared enough about her brother to know he couldn’t handle being a leader, and that he would make a total fool of himself if he tired. She’d save him from that fate, because she knew she was the only one who could take on the task.

"It's my job to help, Kiddo!"

Pietro could shoot back things just as well as his sister. He was witty, there were other things to him, things that few people saw. Wanda was one of the only people who would ever see any side of him that wasn't a complete dickhead, though she got the brunt of that bit of him too. Wanda was one of the few people that would always have Pietro's complete and utter trust. Yeah, he could talk big, but that didn't mean that he always could back it up or anything. He wasn't the most powerful, but he could damned well be resourceful. He was leader material, but not the type that should be the one to take over.

Pietro was the older of the two. He was immature, yes, but that didn't mean that there wasn't another side to him. Wanda knew he could be protective and she knew he had many different levels to him. Even if his little sister irked him with her want to out do him and things, he'd always love her. Pietro was getting in his childishness while he he still could. He had to be serious when he was working, and he was serious, for the most part, when around Mystique. Yeah, he wanted to prove something to his father, but moreso, he wanted Wanda to know that too. He didn't want to be outdone in everything by his sister. There had to be something that was his... Every set of siblings needs something, really. Pietro just hadn't found the thing that he could claim as of yet. Wanda was stronger, she was smarter, she was the better of the two, she was the daddy's girl, and to beat everything to hell she got chicks easier than Pietro at times!

All siblings compete, but these two could take that to a new level if they wanted, but Pietro really could restrain himself. He knew that he was the screw up. He knew that he would just be one of the henchmen, more than likely, that would do Wanda's bidding when she took over for the old man. The only thing Pietro was good at was being an arrogant son of a bitch, but then again, there's so much more to arrogance than anyone can really find, it is a science.

Eyeing his sister, Pietro rolled his eyes a bit as he grabbed his soda back, after she had taken a drink, and leaned back with a sigh after taking a gulp of his soda. HAd he had fun? Truth be told the girl he had gone with wasn't even a good lay. HE could have done better, but then again he felt tired, and he could feel the beginnings of a head ache, maybe it was a good thing.... The silent movie was helping too. AT least it wasn't loud, good 'ol Wanda did have some good habits too, especially for the suffering.

"Don't know if fun is the word I'd use, baby sister, I picked a pretty damn bad lay tonight; I must be off or something."

Pietro really needed a challenge more than anything. IT wasn't fun to chase what was easily obtained. He needed something to pick him up. Maybe his baby sister would have an idea.

She rolled her eyes.

“You do realize that you’re only a few minutes older them me, and that’s just physical age. Mentally I’m so much older…”

She nodded and grinned. Yes, the smart one, she always had been, it was her most prized attribute. Sure she had all the power, most of daddy’s love, and could easily pick up chicks better then her brother, but she loved being smart. She had graduated high school last year top of her class, with a higher grade point average then anyone had ever graduated with from their city, ever. She got perfect grades, in all Advanced Placement classes, she already had a full load of college credits from high school, and was accepted into the med school at the college near home in a heart beat. She was already top of her class, in fact her teachers were thinking of just sending her right to her internship at the hospital. She didn’t even need to learn the basics, she already had them down.

Being smarter then the average person had more advantages then people realized. Most just thought that if you had a genius IQ like Wanda did that you looked down on other people, but when you were in Wanda’s shoes you knew that wasn’t the case. She’d never look down on anyone, unless they were human of course. She liked people, she liked to study them, notice their habits. She knew most people better then they knew themselves, and this made her very useful to the Brotherhood, especially lately with a new arrival at the Institute. Wanda had been watching one Laurie Collins for a few days now, taking in everything about her. She figured she’d let Pietro have a go at her, just because she thought it would be funny to watch him fail. He needed a humbling occurrence and fast. You see, Wanda was just looking out for her brother, and he needed something to calm him, put him back in his place. She wanted him to get right up there where he was about to take over, before she snatched it all out from under him.

She wasn’t being mean or sinister over this whole situation, it was just another humbling occurrence that he needed. She would need him when she took over, need him at her side, because truth be told, she didn’t have much to fight for if she wasn’t saving his butt all the time. Wanda didn’t try and compete with her brother, she didn’t try to do everything better then him, it just happened like that. It was nature for her to come out on top. Survival of the fittest right?

She grinned when he took back his soda, reaching over to take it once more, but her cell phone rang. She leaned forward to the table that sat in front of the couch picking it up. Looking at the name that light up on the screen she rolled her eyes and flipped it open, placing it to her ear.

“Hello…. Chick its three in the morning!.... No…. Im not coming, sorry, I have stuff to do… I said I was busy, stop being so clingy… Yes you are… Whatever.”

She closed it quickly, placing it back on the table and leaning back crossing her arms. She let out a soft sigh.

“Groupies…”

She said softly with a smirk. Wanda had lost of groupies, which was a skill that she should really teach Pietro. The less you give the more they want. So Wanda would go out, find a chick, or sometimes a guy who struck her fancy, do a little dancing, a little kissing, and book, not speaking to them for a few days. Then she’d run into them, they’d want more, she’d say she was busy, blah blab blah, she’d let them stew for a bit, get ‘em good and hungry before she made her final move. She had major groupies.

She grinned softly, looking over at him.

“Were you ever on?”

She smirked and raised her eyebrows playfully. Letting out a soft laugh she patted his shoulder.

“Don’t worry about it, you can have one of mine…”

She grinned evilly and laughed again. She loved messing with him. After a moment she stood up. She walked into the kitchen, picking up he file she had been looking at before, the walked back sitting down beside him and dropping it in his lap. He wanted a challenge? Well here comes Laurie.

“Maybe you’ll like this one… Her name is Laura-Lynn Collins, better known as Laurie, or Wallflower. She’s new at the Institute, she had the power of pheromones, and she can turn invisible. Therefore, she’s someone we’d really like to have on our side. I’ve been watching her for a while, she’s really shy, wont talk to anyone. I’m pretty sure that her pheromone powers are the cause of this. She makes the people around her feel whatever she feels, like if she angry, everyone around her is too, or if she’s attracted to someone, they’re attracted too. She used to not be able to control her powers, it was just pheromones all the time, but now she has more control then she realizes, but she still thinks that her pheromones effect people. Like if someone wanted to talk to her, or someone was hitting on her she’d just think it was her powers and blow them off. She’ll be a very big challenge for you, in fact, one that you most likely aren’t going to accomplish, but you may as well give it a shot. I’d do it myself, but I have far more important things to take care of with all this cure mess starting up.”

She nodded and shrugged.

"I'm still older, sis. Ask for mentality, I'm smarter than anyone knows."

Yeah, that last part was much more quiet. HE wasn't as stupid as he could seem at times. He really wasn't! Most of the time he had on an act that most people expected from him, and he didn'tmind it, the act made a great facade because it was something that hid any real emotions or anything he had. Pietro was very seldomly an open book, there were few who would ever hear anything that was real from him, save for one person. His sister had his trust, unlike many others. They were closwer than they seemed. HE knew that she wanted to humble him down for a reason, she had pretty much always been trying, Pietro was difficult to crack, yes, but Wanda had suceeded just a little bit, and she got a little further every time, really.

Wanda was intelligent, she was just the complete package, really. Pietro was just the screw up, really. Wanda had gotten her power first, and Pietro had bloomed later, it seemed that she had the best and the first from both worlds. Pietro thought it a bit ironic that his power had bloomed so late and so slowly, since his power was speed, that summed his power up in one word. His body manifested slower than he thought it should have.

Pietro's blood flowed quickly, his body could move quickly, his brain patters were quick, and he was just overall quicksilver, though most people only realized that he could move faster than the human eye could see. It came with a few more perks than people realize. Though, everything that went quicker was his own. He wasn't as smart as Wanda, but he was smart enough and it did move quicker. His name was Quicksilver for a reason. IT combined more than one thing. Pietro was much more capable than even he knew. Mystique saw the potential...

HEaring that phone conversation seemed purposeful. It was as if WAnda wasnted to rub things in his face. It wasn't as if he didn't have women fawning over him, it was just the fact that he didn't give them his number and he only hooked up with them once and only once. That was all. HE wasn't like WAnda, he wanted to hit it and then get rid of it, and that's what he did more often than not. Pietro didn't really care, he didn't see himself as ever being a one woman sort of guy. He knew that he might one day settle down because he had to, but he figured Wanda would end up the leader, and he'd be her right hand guy, and that she'd ask him or something. She'd probably pick for him, just as she did in many other aspects. She seemed like the older one, yes, but when it came to protection or things like that, Pietro could be vicious.

Pietro had more fight in him than people knew. HE was protective of his sister, and though he couldn't really direct her love life or anything, he still worried, and any guy that she was around or had a chance of getting with, if he could, he'd get to them. His sister had pretty much been the only family he had for quite a while. Magneto was fine and good, but was he really a father? How old had Pietro and Wanda been when he had 'saved' them from the institute? Whether or not the old man knew it, Pietro and Wanda were family, he just happened to be a sperm donor, for the most part, in Pietro's eyes. The man preferred Wanda anyway....

His soda! Jeez, Wanda liked sharing a bit too much. He offered the carbonated beverage to her, seeing as it wasn't quenching his thirst anyway. HE figured that water might be better. The soda wasn't helping anything at all. HIs mouth was dry and he needed something else. He shook his head a bit. Stupid phone call. He blinked when she spoke and shook his head a bit.

"I'm always on. Where do you think you get it from, sis?"

HE said with a smirk as he shook his head. He didn't need one of her groupies. HE could get girls. HE didn't go for the better girls mainly because he didn't want to take that chance.

"Nah, you can keep all of your groupies, baby sister, I can get a girl. Next time I just have to pick one with more prowess."

There was a bit of a twinkle to Pietro's eye as he grinned. HE was always up for a challenge, and that twinkle remained when Wanda left the room before explaining to him about Laurie. The file was dropped into his lap, and he thumbed through it curiously as he listened to his sister. His eyes were able to see everything in the eerie darkness. His hazy eyes traveled over the pages as he wetted his lips and picked up the file while propping his feet up and leaning back a bit more for comfort.

"Sounds interesting. I'm always up for a challenge. Glad you gave this to me."

Pietro eyed the page for a few more moments before looking at his sister curiously.

"IS there any way to make sure the pheremones she emits don't effect a person or is it just deal with it? What all did you have planned when you first found out about her? How long have you been watching her?"

He wanted to know things. If he planned to approach her he'd need to be prepared. His hand automatically brought the soda can to his lips and he took a gulp before offering it to WAnda, it wasn't hitting the spot and he was done with it.

"You're taking care of cure stuff? ARe you offering me this to keep me from screwing things up or because you don't think I can do it, sis?"

There was a glint in his eye. HE was up for a challenge, and Wanda would realize that. Pietro wasn't as complicated to her, really.

She let out a little chuckle at his comment. She knew he was smarter then most thought, she knew more about him then anyone. He was one of the very few people Wanda really trusted, well really one of the two. She also trusted her father, but she and Pietro had a different kind of bond then she and her father did. It was much stronger, but then again twin bonds always were. She knew there were more levels to him them anyone knew, heck, she may have even seen more then he knew about. Mystique wasn’t the only one who believed in him, Wanda did too, but she was much more level headed about it. She knew how powerful he was, and what he was capable of, but he still wasn’t leader material, not like she was. Wanda may have been the more powerful of the two, but she knew al about his powers, and that he was very useful. He may have been a bit reckless at times, but she still knew he would always be the first person she turned to for help.

She laughed a little and shook her head.

“No, we get it from Dad. He’s such a pimp.”

She grinned and nodded, looking at the TV. Wanda and Pietro’s views on their father were very different. She was glad that he had found them, and once he had she didn’t hesitate for a second before bonding with him. He was her family, it didn’t matter if he was there from the start or not, because he was here now. It wasn’t his fault he wasn’t there. Their mother ran away, and even she didn’t know she was pregnant. Magneto always said that if he knew he would have been there for them right from the start, but there was no way for him to know. It took him finding out about a powerful new mutant and the Institute, Wanda, then watching her for a while before he realized she looked exactly like her mother.

The fact that Pietro was so protective over her was something that often got on her nerves, but she also loved him for it. She was protective over him too, just in a more passive way. It wasn’t that she told him what to do or anything, because she really didn’t, she just nudged him in the right direction, made it seem like it was his idea to do something, when really it was her. She didn’t want to degrade him by just bossing him around, she loved him too much for that.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head.

“I know you can get them, but the ones you want aren’t anything to be marveled… maybe you should let me pick one.”

She grinned looking over at him, taking the soda back.

“There’s not a way, not yet, but I’m working on it. Really I don’t think you’ll have to worry about the pheromones. Like I said, she has more control then she realizes. From what I can tell they rarely slip out, you should be safe from them. Besides, even if they do effect you it will only last when you’re around her, when you leave all the feelings should be gone. I didn’t really plan much, I just wanted to watch her first, find out her habits, then make a move. I probably would have just charmed her, befriended her or something, some how. It would be hard to break her, but I should have been able to do it,” she put a slight emphasis on the word ‘I’. “I’ve been watching her for about two weeks now.”

She nodded and shrugged, looking at the TV again. She grinned softly at his question, not looking back at him.

“A little of both maybe.”

He nudged her shoulder when she let out the chuckle. She knew more about him than any other person, so he gave her a little bit more leway. She got away with more than others would. HE trusted her, but he still had his doubts about the person that Wanda so esily referred to as their dad. There was just always something about MAgneto that irked Pietro, and he couldn't help it. IT remained that way for a reason...

"Dad, a pimp? IF he's a pimp....I don't even want to think about that. The only person he really has is Mystique..."

There was a bit of bitter truth there, but it was hidden by the joking tone he had spoken with. Pietro knew that it had worked, he hid himself well enough. Pietro was practiced at this, though Wanda caught him a lot, seeing as they had a bond that was special. She knew him better than he knew himself much of the time, and he knew her just as well. Some things he did purposefully, though. He knew she hated him being protective, but he couldn't help it.

Quicksilver was the older sibling, and he took the role to heart. IT was the one job that he could probably fufil, even though Wanda was more than capable. HE still needed that feeling of self worth, though. That was what that gave him. He had to have something, though there was more there, really.

"That's a bit of a low blow. I suppose it can't hurt, though. As long as I get to pick your next conquest."

HE was teasing her. IT was fun for him. He was more than amused at the moment, but then again Pietro found amusement in some of the stupidest things. He had to find ways to amuse himself and whatnot seeing as he wasn't good at a lot of things. None other would do that for him... The twins were close, yes, but they could only be around one another at certain timse seeing as they were both busy and useful to the Brotherhood.

"You've been watching her this long and you still haven't figured a way to keep the pheremones from effecting? Hm, you're slacking, baby sis. I can befriend her and try to get her trust first. If worse comes to worse, and she actually did use phermones, I could run away pretty quickly, right? My blood circulates faster, so I'd be able to move and get away quicker and everything, right?"

IT was logical. With the rate that Pietro's body could move and everything, he wouldn't be affected by the phermones as badly as others would he? Pietro's whole body reacted quicker and he was pretty sure that would give him more to help. Maybe if he actually got his blood going quickly enough her phermones wouldn't have the effect? You see, phermones go through slowly, pretty much, and with Pietro's body it would go through faster, thus allowing him to be a bit less affected than another, right? Either way his thoughts were trailing around quickly. Though, he bumped his sister and wrapped his arms around her as he looked at the TV.

"Ah, how'd I know it. You have so little faith in me..."

Dramatic, fake.... HEhe. Pietro yawned a bit and glared at the TV.

"Why are we watching a silent movie, babe?"

She laughed a little and shrugged.

“I think he’s got more things going then he lets on.”

She nodded and grinned.

“And I was more referring to all the stories he’s told me about when he was a bit younger, after mom left him. He did pretty good for himself.”

She nodded, looking over at him, then the TV again. His tone didn’t work, it almost never did, but she let him think it did. Wanda knew that Pietro and Mystique had something going on, and she tried not to put too much thought into it. Wanda had her doubts about Mystique, she didn’t really trust her. When Wanda came to power it would be her brother at her side, not Mystique, which would bump Mystique down and Wanda wasn’t sure she’d take too kindly to that. Also, she figured that Mystique would push for Pietro to be in charge, but it wouldn’t work, Wanda wouldn’t let that happen.

She grinned softly looking over at him.

“But see there’s a problem in your request, I don’t have conquests, I have groupies.”

She grinned and nodded. There was a bit difference in the two, and Wanda was sure she wouldn’t let the line get blurred. She poked him harshly in the side and frowned her brow slightly.

“Yeah, but its different with her. She doesn’t have pheromones like animals, so I have nothing to go off of there, and I cant seem to find any other mutant, ever, with the same power as her. She’s truly original, like me, and it’s harder then you think.”

She nodded and shrugged slightly.

“You’re probably right. Most likely it would only effect you for a few moments, because even if they did slip out it would only be in short bursts. After a while you body would become adapt to them, and it will happen quicker for you of course. You should be safe for the most part.”

She grinned softly and shrugged.

“Its not that I don’t have faith, I just know ever well what you are and aren’t capable of.”

She laughed slightly at his question and poked him again.

“Because I like them, that’s why.”

"Sure he does."

Pietro said with a roll of his eyes. HE had a certain caring for their dad, but it was different for him. He didn't take directly to him. Pietro was used to having the position of caring for Wanda, and he still did it pretty much.

"Funny, with how old the man is, you'd think the last woman he really would have had would've had to be in the stone age."

Yes, that one was a joke. He knew MAgneto wasn't that old, but it was still funny to poke fun at it, especially since Pietro couldn't really do anything else. There had to be some way to take out his frustrations, and joking could get him some attention. Mystique wasn't something that Pietro would ever admit to. They had something, and no one really knew much about it. IT was their's to know and no one elses. Wanda didn't even really know. Yes, Mystique wanted Pietro in power, but even he, though it was more subconscous that going into power wasn't the best possibility for him. He knew WAnda would have to take it. HE wasn't cut out for it, and he knew it. Mystique was determined and she would keep helping him... even if he knew it wouldn't work, really...

"A conquest would be so much moer worthwhile, though."

He made a good point. HE really did. Conquests were more rewarding when one finished. Though, Wanda didn't seem to like the idea, Pietro liked it. He couldn't really wait to try his hand at getting to Laurie.

"Harder than I think? I thought you were the genius of the family?"

He was still joking for the most part. His body would handle everything better than anyone else, so essentially he was good for the job and he knew it. She was only pointing out the obvious.

"You took the thoughts out of my head. Either way I'll develop immunity to it at some point. Hopefully, she's ready for me."

HE was arrogant and he knew it. IT was something that helped him. It shaped who he was to a rather large extent.

"Well, when I put my mind to something it shall be accomplished. If she's something we want here with us, I'll get her."

HE knew he'd do his best and he wouldn't give up. Pietro hade already decided. The poke made him scoot away a bit more before he pulled her to him and kept his arm around her, pulling her head to his shoulder. He could be a good guy, and a good big brother at times.

"Well, okay, but what's the movie about?"

She rolled her eyes and didn’t say anything about his comment. She knew how he worked, that he joked to hide real emotions. It was another thing he needed to work on. Most people didn’t know this, but emotions weren’t a bad thing. Wanda never held anything in, however, she only happened to have emotions that weren’t too bad. She had anger, some times sadness, and happiness of course, but there was one she never had. Love, the only people she really loved were her brother and her father, well, her older sister too, though they had never even met. Just hearing stories about Anya made Wanda love her. She wished she was still around, Wanda wanted a sister. A brother was all well and good, but it wasn’t the same.

She shook her head and rolled her eyes.

“Yeah, you may think so, but I sure don’t. I’d rather mess with someone’s mind first. You know how I work, give them just enough to leave them good and hungry, then take off. Because when they cone around again they want it so bad there’s no way they could disappoint.”

She grinned and nodded. She rolled her eyes again.

“Well I am, but it’s a bit hard when I haven’t even made contact wither Its one thing to just observe, and its another to test. You just don’t understand how science works. I can just look at her and figure it out, all I know is that she has pheromones, and unlike animals she doesn’t only attract with them, she cam also cause any other kind of emotion, which is very rare, unheard of really.”

She nodded, Listening to her brother go on about how easy it would be made her laugh a little. She shook her head.

“I just hope you’re ready for her. This isn’t going to be like anything you’ve ever done before.”

She laughed a little when he pulled her back to him, leaning on him slightly and resting her head on his shoulder. She always felt very safe with him, it let her relax. She shrugged a little.

“I don’t really know, I turned it on in like the middle of the movie, I just like watching them run around so quickly and stuff.”

She grinned.

She knew him too well, that was obvious. Though, it wasn't that bad, really. They were twins, so really it was expected, even if they were siblings, twins are always close and it doesn't matter if they're fraternal or whatever. She knew, and nothing needed to be said. It was just left at that. He had his own reasoning. She knew that well enough too. He'd always have his own reasoning and whatnot. They were so alike and similar in different ways, yet so different.

"Toying could be fun too. I don't know, though, then I'd get less. It works for you, though. The easier girls are just....well, easy. Nothing attatched, we both know I'm not the dating type or anything."

pietro gave a shrug and smiled stupidly, though it was really him hiding again, this was a bit less obvious. He was hiding, yes, but Wanda didn't realize that he'd actually listen to her if she picked someone for him to try. He figured he was more of a tool to be used rather than anything else. Was he right? Who knew?

"Well, tell me what to note when I get near her and I can help there. Even just being near her might help."

That was true, it could help. If he could help Wanda figure out things it wouldn't be too bad. HE could help her figure out things, especially since his body would react differently. He was the best for the job and his arrogance might help.

"Probably not, but at least I can try. I can get near her when she lets phermones out and I can still handle it better than others. I can help the Brotherhood in that aspect."

Business talk. He knew that it was true, though. He was a pawn, or maybe a rook. Whatever, he didn't care for chess, his dad did. Maybe shoving a chess piece up the old man's ass would be fun. Either way, Pietro wanted to get out of those thoughts. Wanda felt safe around him and he knew that. He liked it. He liked being a big brother, it gave him a sense of importance. He leaned his own head atop her's as he blinked at the TV.

"Ah, quickly...fun. I can do that...."

Pietro grinned.

"Well, I think the story is all about that character right there. He's in love with that other guy and the other guy is in love with that girl, while the girl is in love with the gay guy. Everyone is is just unimportant, but they're all cheating on their spouses, whereas that kid right there is a necrophiliac."

Pietro chuckled. HE was trying to get Wanda to hit him or laugh. Either way it was amusing.

“Well there’s nothing attached in what I do either, at least not much. You see, the people I mess with end up becoming friends in the end, and that just works for me. You know I like having people around me at all times.”

She nodded and smiled softly. Wanda was very much a people person. She liked to talk, and to be in crowds. In fact, some could even say she was Laurie’s polar opposite. She couldn’t stand being alone, she liked noise, even when she was studying she liked to have the radio on or something. She wasn’t good with the quiet, which was ironic seeing as she loved silent movies.

She glanced over at Pietro for a moment, then back at the tv. He had more going for him then he realized. Her brother really was a nice guy, one who was very much capable of having a real relationship. She knew however it wasn’t what he wanted. He was young and wanted to be free, that’s because he didn’t realize that if you found the right person you could still be young, if not free anymore. He was sweet and caring, even if he could also be a jerk. He proved that when ever they were together. Pietro was the perfect older brother.

She thought for a moment then smiled softly.

“No, you don’t really have to do anything. You see, if you get the pheromones in your system they aren’t going to effect you for long, but they will still be there, that’s how you develop an immunity to them. All I have to do is take a sample of your blood and I can extract the pheromone from it.”

She nodded and grinned, finally figuring it out. With his explanation of the movie she raised an eyebrow and looked up at him. She smirked, rolling her eyes and giving him a nice pinch on the arm.

“You’re such a weirdo.”

"Yeah, you do. Baby sister, Wanda, doesn't like silence, and her addiction to people feeds her."

He really was only teasing. Wanda did like people quite a bit, and Pietro could do without a large group of people. IN his mind, people were okay, but with Pietro he could deal with silence and being quite alone. Hell, he hated being around too large a group of girls all of the time. A lot of girls really did get on Pietro's nerves. He disliked groups of girls for good reasoning. He was attractive, and yeah, he really could get most any girl he wanted.

Essentially, Pietro did want to be free, but there was more to it. HE could be more useful to the Brotherhood by not giving himself bagage. IF he stayed single it was easier to do things and he wouldn't be held bac, though Pietro was a good guy pretty much. He wasn't characteristically evil or anything, he was a good guy and he would really be pretty good in a realationship. He treated girls well, unless you counted the tramps that he hooked up with. There was reasoning behind that, though, and he still didn't treat them that badly. For Pietro, he didn't want to committ because being hurt wasn't exactly what he enjoyed. He didn't want to hurt someone else or get hurt; he'd learned a bit to much from his parents, though no one really realized that as of yet. Wanda wanted to know about Laurie, but her solution was to prick him with a needle. The thought of that made him flinch. He disliked needles, and Wanda should have known that.

"You know I hate needles, sis! I suppose that if it's good for you to learn, I won't complain, though."

Pietro was pretty easy going and laid back. HE had always been that way until it came to his sister and protecting her. Hell, there were things that few knew about him. He had had a relationship before, but it hadn't worked out, it had fallen apart, and it had hurt. He was a good guy, and any girl who saw him with WAnda or had seen him with his ex would contest to that. HE was a good guy, and he knew how to treat people, especially girls, but he couldn't be that openly.... it was bad, and he was a tool to be used..

"That's true, but I'm a special wierdo because everyone loves me!"

Pietro was joking and he kissed WAnda's head cheezily, teasing her.

She rolled her eyes and laughed a little. Wanda knew more then anyone realized. I mean, everyone knew she was a genius, but thats not that kind of knowing I mean. Very few knew that Wanda had the power to see into the future. It was a rare occurence, but she was becoming better at making it happen at will. She didnt let on her full reasoning about why she wanted Pietro to get Laurie. It was Wanda being passive protective of her brother. She knew how badly that one relationship had damaged him, and that he didnt want to be hurt again. He could say that he didnt want to be in a relationship because he didnt want baggage all he wanted, but Wanda knew him better then that.

She needed him in the right state of mind for the future, for everything that was going to happen, everything that so far only Wanda knew about, and of course the people plotting. Wanda knew much more then she let on, and she knew that in the future there would be a choice she;d have to make, and if she chose3 one way it would be Pietro who took over after all. She was doing everything in her power to get him ready if that should happen. It was something nobody else could prepare him for, not even Mystique, no matter how hard she tired. If Pietro got through with Laurie Wanda had a strong feeling that she'd be the one who stuck with and, and if Wanda were gone Laurie would be the one who she trusted to suppore Pietro and help him get where he needed to be.

She rolled her eyes and poked him.

"Oh please, stop being such a woman!"

She smirked softly at him and raised her eyebrows in a playful manner. She make a fake sick face whe he kissed her head, pushing him away and crossing her arms with a soft smirk.

Pietro had his own problems, and he didn't think it was likely that he would ever lead anyone. He wasn't special, his power was simple, but sometimes it came in handy. Other than that he didn't have the best power, but he'd use it to it's full ability. The boy was arrogant no matter what, and he had always been that way, even when he had a relationship. HE hadn't been the one to change, really.

His last relationship had been special to him. He had really been a great guy, and he always would be. He only changed when he was upset and whatnot. It had hurt him and he had changed to a rather large extent. Pietro was the sort that shared a lot of attention and he liked to dote, he liked to care about people, but only people that he cared for. He cared about Wanda, but not his father, and he cared for spouses... He couldn't be that vunerable, though. He couldn't handle it, so he didn't get involved. He knew what Wanda was up to. She was trying to get him with Laurie, he could probably get all of it done by just befriending the girl, though. The thing Pietro didn't know was anything involving Hexus. That was what he needed to know. He would loose his sister, and that would be hard. If he knew anything of it, WAnda would've known and she probably would have reconsidered, especially seeing that Pietro cared so much...

Pietro smirked and shook his head a bit.

"You're the woman, not me. I'm just sensitive because of dealing with women for so freakin' long."

He wrinkled his nose and cackled a bit as she pulled away and crossed her arms, acting disgusted. He just chuckled and leaned over on her, putting his head against her arm, looking up at his sister with puppy-like eyes.

"You know you love me!"
